ITI Congress Benelux 'Expecting the Unexpected'
ITI Congress Benelux April 15 to 16: “Expecting the Unexpected” – Anticipating and handling complications in implant dentistry
450 implant dentistry professionals including prosthodontists, surgeons, dental technicians and dental hygienists attended the ITI Congress Benelux that took place in Maastricht, Netherlands, from April 15 to 16.
The congress ran under the title “Expecting The Unexpected: We Tried Everything But Still…” and focused on every type of complication –mechanical, biological, surgical or chronic – in implant dentistry. Among the strong international faculty were Dr. Alessandro Devigus, Prof. Lisa Heitz-Mayfield, Prof. Mutlu Özcan, Dr. Martin Schimmel and Prof. Frank Schwarz, along with the cream of Belgian and Dutch speakers.
According to Ali Tahmaseb, Education Delegate of the Dutch ITI Section, feedback from participants was more than gratifying: “Our speakers were highly appreciated, particularly as they provided information that can be immediately put into practice in everyday work.” The industry workshops offered by Straumann and Dental Wings also had very positive feedback. “They offered participants an excellent opportunity to extend their knowledge, apply it and also ask questions”.
The diverse scientific program was complemented by a short presentation on the ITI Online Academy as well as an industry exhibition that provided an overview of the latest products in the field.
